If you are interested in learning more about my academic interests, I suggest visiting my home page and reading the introduction and research pages. This site is a way for me to extend my online presence past a mere resume, while playing with Squarespace, an exceptional platform for this type of thing.

Aside from my new found work in psychological research, which focuses mainly on issues in clinical and affective neuroscience and clinical psychology, I am also a political junkie and technology writer. Several of my previous projects have been featured on television networks (TechTV and MSNBC), trade publications (Web Host Industry Review) and various internet sites. My first site, a community forum I started in 1999, won a Golden Web Award for originality, design and community engagement. Since that time, I have been involved in over a dozen internet-based projects, including a profitable web hosting company.

I have also been a writer for specialty sites such as Neowin, where I wrote software and hardware reviews, and Blogcritics, where I was a theater columnist. While my past interests have been eclectic, this experiment with Squarespace - yes, it is merely an experiment at this point - focuses on issues in science, technology and politics. Given my interest in and knowledge of biological psychology, you should expect to see that as a recurring theme with regular articles devoted to issues in that area.

Politically speaking, you should expect everything I write to slant to the left. I am an active, participating member of the Democratic Party and a staunch supporter of the progressive agenda (because the base word in progressive is progress, which is always a good thing to support). Whether or not I discuss politics is still an open question, as it is merely a passing interest and not my passion.
